Byron has brought proper hamburgers to intu Metrocentre Gateshead with the opening of a restaurant in the centre’s brand new Qube development on 24th March.
The Metrocentre launch follows the opening of Byron Grey Street last September, where the North-East’s impressive appetite for proper hamburgers has made Byron Grey Street one of the busiest Byron restaurants in the country. Check out Canny Food’s take on their meat and veggie burgers here.
Byron was founded by Tom Byng in 2007 with the mission of serving proper hamburgers like those he experienced while in the States. We feel their cooked medium patties are up there with the best served in the North-East and are excited to try out the new restaurant in the Metrocentre.
Byng said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the strength of the welcome we’ve received in Newcastle, and we can’t wait to bring proper hamburgers to our second North-East restaurant in Gateshead”.
I mentioned on the Canny Food Twitter that on occasion Byron have 25p Burger events and a few people expressed an understandable interest! To find out about when these will happen in our area sign up for The Byron Burger Club. Members receive exclusive invites to previews of upcoming specials and new openings, and enjoy priority access to one-off Burger Club events. Membership is free and you can find out more here.
Byron has joined forces with One Feeds Two® in their mission of using hunger to end hunger. For every Special Hamburger sold, Byron will give 25p directly to the charity, enabling them to provide a nutritious school meal for a child living in poverty.
