Lost and Found Heaton – Update

Breakfasts

24 Mar

I was pleased to see on social media  Lost and Found, Heaton’s quirkiest hangout, had added a scrumptious looking vegan hot chocolate to their menu so had to make a return visit. After jealously eyeing up my friend’s pancake stack during a recent brunch (which you can read about here) I was determined to try them out for myself.

The hot chocolate comes with marshmallows and other vegan-friendly treats and is £6. Is it worth it? Possibly not, but as a one-off indulgence I was ok to stump up my hard-earned. I’ve had the week from Hades and needed cheering up.

Their brunch options can be veganised where possible so I ordered a dairy free version of the Smores Pancakes. Biscoff and chocolate were spread over the fluffy pancake stack, while a biscuit crumble gave a slight savoury tang. A scoop of vegan ice cream or cream could have cut through the richness of the combo, which was very filling.

We also ordered another Fresh Berries Stack too, which we struggled to finish. Good job Lost and Found allow you to take home a doggy bag! It is fast becoming one of my favourite places to visit, especially with people from out of the area who marvel at the decor and ambience. If you haven’t tried it out, what are you waiting for?

Thanks for reading,

Pip x
